Our Snow Day

These are some pictures from Monday. The first one is in the front yard, just as it was starting to snow. The rest are in the backyard. Kenna was throwing a little "snowball"...the kids made little snowmen with giant carrot noses (the boy on the left is our friend Riley)...the boys worked on a snow fort...and Charis later made a big snowman after she had finished her tiny masterpiece. I regret I never got back outside to take a picture of her finished product, which was taller than Kenna, or to get shots of the whole yard covered with snow, but I was dealing with a non-napping toddler. Grrr. That's a whole other post which I won't write now, though!

That just looks funny with the greener grass! :) We got snow and then a layer of ice and our boys managed to find that fun as well. I love how kids can find fun! All I could think about was how cold my toes were! :)

How fun! You received a lot of snow. It's snowing for the second time this week with a third storm coming on Saturday! Very unusual for the Pacific Northwest! For the first storm it was too cold to go out and play and now it's not good snowman making snow. Maybe the next storm.

Pretty cool! Of course, we just got another five inches last night with 8-14 expected on Friday. But for Vegas, that's impressive!!

Hard to believe Las Vegas got that much snow. GREAT for the kiddos though! Nice shots!!! TFS ...

Yes, it IS impressive for LV! It's the first time it has snowed since we've been here! It is possible that it snowed during the time we lived here and maybe we were just gone, like the year we were in Tampa with Ted for the holidays. But it literally is the first time the kids have gotten out into the snow to play since we were in Maryland back in '04!!
